The Abel Tasman National Park, another little paradise in this country. We decided to rent a car after we hitch hiked from Picton to Nelson (there are not a lot of cars on the road here and now we can see and go wherever we want to go). What a great idea. We've been able to see places where we'd never could have gone with the hitching.
The first adventure was driving on the left side. But okay, it's pretty easy. The second new adventure is wild camping. Since we have to spent money on a car and fuel, we haven't got any money left for sleeping. But no worries, it's a lot of fun. The first time we tried it was in the Abel Tasman National Park. We couldn't believe our eyes when we got there. Golden beaches and a turquoise sea in combination with beautiful blue mountains in the background. So we decided to do a part of the coast to coast track.
It felt like we discovered an uninhabited island. Amazing beaches for ourselves where we had a great sunset dinner party with New Zealand wine. The following mourning we got up at 5:45 and had a sunrise breakfast (this was at the Tinline Bay). We continued walking and discovered the Apple Tree Bay where we relaxed the rest of our morning and had a 'shower' or should I say morning swim in the cold sea. I wish every day could start like this!
