We spent a lot of time in Vietnam (who can blame us? what an amazing country!) so we decided to only stay one week in Cambodia... We only visited the capital city Phnom Penh and Siem Reap (near the amazing Ankor Wat).

The first pictures were taken in Phnom Penh, where we did some touristy things and met one of Joke's friends who was living there. We had a lot of fun biking around town! And a little down moment after our visit to the Tuol Sleng genocide museum. I didn't know a lot about the history of Cambodia so I was slightly shocked that so many awful things happened there, not so long ago!

The fun thing about this city are the shopping streets... It was kind of weird actually: there were streets with only bicycle shops, streets with only fabric shops, etc. I think you'll have a lot of competition if you want to start some business there! Phnom Penh was also the first place where I saw people eating roasted insects and spiders! Joke and I had great food there (amazing Chinese dumplings and great pineapple fried rice) but didn't dare to try some of those insects!

Siem Reap was in one word amazing. We visited the Angkor Wat temple complex by sunrise. And we were not alone: it was a funny thing to see all the tourists with their camera's and iphone's and being annoyed by the thousands of mosquitoes! Our personal tuktukdriver showed us around and made sure we didn't miss a thing. The rest of our days in Siem Reap we spent at our kitschy swimming pool, shopping at the local market, having great food and nice parties. And of course... massages, it's vacation after all!
